Don’t settle for those tired old house numbers from the hardware store. Add that pop of color to the front of your house or mailbox, and make sure all your packages make it to the right doorstep!
In this workshop, we’ll create borders, add cool patterns and textures, and mount raised numbers to create a one-of-a-kind address plaque that will make your neighbors say wow! Want to add a raised sunflower or some fun mushrooms? How about a bird motif, mountains, or sea life? Why not? Honey, if you’ve got the vision, we’ve got the tools!
We’ll glaze with underglazes and wonderglazes on greenware same day to give your work bold colors that stand out. If you’d like to take more time to add detail to your piece, punch cards are available for more studio time.
Plaques are generally about 12 inches long and rectangular, but you’ll be free to modify and add your own ideas for shapes and adornments.
Plaques will be flat-dried, and take 2-3 weeks for firing.
All skill levels welcome.
