Join Crystal Dunn for a spooktacular time learning to make a cone-shaped ghost, witch or witch hat, or Autumn gnome! Make your creation a luminary with cut outs to let the light shine, or solid for a fun decorative piece.
In this workshop you’ll learn how to build a simple clay cone, then modify and adorn it with details to make your favorite Fall character or witch hat. Your project can be super simple or covered in detail. Choose from a wide assortment of tools to add texture and personality to your creation, then glaze it with vivid Stroke & Coat glazes the same day!
Projects will be fired and ready for pick up in two weeks.

Ghosts, goblins, bats, and monsters! Learn how to sculpt your favorite Halloween characters in this fun family-friendly workshop!
Cute or scary, Whimsical or serious, we’ll guide you through fun sculpting methods to give your character all the personality. Does your creature have spots, fur, big eyes, or big teeth? Get creative!
Workshop includes building and glazing your creature, plus kiln firing. Creatures will be ready for pick up two weeks later.

Ever wanted to make your own tile for a household project or art installation? In this two-session workshop, we’ll cover everything you need to know to get started making your own custom tiles and designs!
Session 1: Explore the history of tile and a variety of tile types and styles. Learn the best methods for shaping and cutting tiles from wet clay while preventing common issues like warpage.
Session 2: Learn about design planning and how to create repeating patterns (existing patterns will also be provided for anyone who wishes to use them). We’ll go over the process for transferring designs onto the bisqued tiles made in the first session and discuss using resists, glazing tools and other techniques.
Students will come away from the class with the skills to make small or large batches of custom tiles, plus a set of 4 functional tiles that can be laid (in a surface of their choice), assembled as a wall hanging, or kept as a set and used as coasters, paperweights, etc!
No prior clay experience needed. Workshop is suitable for children ages 12+ accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Amanda is an experienced potter and tile maker with a background working in tile production. She has a meticulous eye for detail and design, and a gentle and supportive approach to teaching.

In this workshop you’ll learn how to build 3 ceramic pumpkins in 3 different sizes -Small, medium and large! Add leaves, vines, and texture to make your pumpkins unique. These will be perfect for your Fall decor all season long!

In this workshop you’ll learn how to hand build a beautiful baking dish using a simple folding technique. Seriously, anyone can make this! Add handles and your own unique textures to make this piece the talk of the table!
We’ll use durable stoneware clay, fired at cone 6 to make sturdy baking dishes that make beautiful additions to your kitchen. These also make great gifts!
Projects will be fired and ready for pick up in two weeks if students choose to fire with Stroke & Coat glazes. For a 30% (of project price) fee, students can have their piece bisque fired first, then return to apply potter’s glazes for more drippy and textured glaze effects. An additional 2 weeks will be required for glaze upgrades.
This project is appropriate for ages 10 and up.

Join us for a six-session introduction to the potter’s wheel where you’ll learn the basics of “throwing” the essential 3 forms: cups, bowls, and plates!
Also included is a 10 hour punchcard for practice time, used at your leisure during our open studio hours, or scheduled with one of our studio techs during member-only hours.
In this class we’ll cover:
Throwing the 3 key forms that serve as the basis for just about anything you’d want to create on the wheel
“Trimming” AKA refining your pots
The essentials of firing bisque at cone 04 and glaze at cones 5 & 6 (what the heck does that mean? We’ll teach you!)
Simple glazing methods to help your pots shine! Or matte!
No hidden fees! Class includes all clay, firing, and glazing expenses, plus shared shelf space to store works in progress.
Punch cards transition to hourly membership after class ends and are good up to 1 year after your class ends.

Have you completed beginning wheel classes and want to take your pottery skills to the next level? This is the class for you!
Intermediate includes 20 hours of studio time: Five weeks, One 2 hour class per/week, and a punch card for 10 hours of practice!
This class is adult and teen-friendly, ages 14+. Prerequisite: at least 5 weeks of previous wheel class experience (with us or another studio, or equal experience).
In this class you will:
Learn how to pull taller, more even walls
Recover wobbly walls and uneven tops
Create galleries and lids for jars
Throw matching pieces
Throw more efficiently to “get the weight out”
Trim more effectively
Throw more intuitively
Set goals, document progress, and push limits!

Perfect for anyone who prefers individual instruction! These one-on-one sessions are great for beginners or those with minimal experience that want to take the next step.
Note: To complete the full cycle of throwing pots on the wheel, plan for at least 3 separate private lessons to include:
Throwing your “rough draft” pots on the wheel. This lesson includes learning how to center, open, and pull up your pot. You can stop here if the experience with wet clay is all you want to try, or just to see if it’s for you. If that’s the case, your instructor will trim up your pots (up to 2/person) for you and you can select a glaze that they will apply for you prior to firing. Your pots will be ready within 3-4 weeks after firing.
The second step in pottery is trimming. This session requires that your pot is leather hard (dry enough to handle), and is best to schedule between 24 hours-to- 2 weeks of your first session. If you want to stop here, you can choose a glaze and your instructor will glaze up to 2 pots for you. Your pots will be ready within 3-4 weeks after firing.
The final step of pottery is glazing. This can happen before or after you bisque fire your pot, depending on the finish you want. We have lots of glazes to choose from. Glazing is different from “painting” and involves learning how to effectively apply glaze and layer for different effects. It is easily a full single private lesson and super important to learn if you’re considering pottery as a continuous hobby.
Students who complete all 3 private lessons have successfully completed a full intro to pottery and will be able to navigate the studio’s wheel area and glazing shelves on their own if they want to continue practicing pottery with a punch card. Punch cards are $120/10 hours of studio time.
No additional glazing or kiln fees. Glazes and firing are always included in our classes and private lessons.

Calling all creative minds ages 9–15! Want to learn how to make pottery? Join us for this challenging and rewarding after-school camp where you'll learn all about the whirling world of making creations on the wheel! We’ll focus on building confidence, perseverance, patience, and other skills in a positive, kind, and supportive environment.
Whether it's your first time or you’ve tried it before, this camp is all about progress, not perfection. Your instructor will meet you at your skill level and help you grow. We'll also learn about trimming, glazing, and firing, seeing the process to completion.
Students are welcome to continue this camp as they level up, pushing their skills as far as they'd like to go! At the end of each 4-week session, every student will take home some glazed pots they can be proud of.
