Improve your throwing skills in this fun yet challenging wheel workshop with long-time potter, Sara Young!
You’ll learn how to:
Pull taller walls
Achieve more effective shaping pulls
Plan your pots, distributing clay in a more intentional way so that it can be expanded and contracted in the right spots
Set base thickness and width to better suit your complex shapes
Achieve narrow necks /Collaring techniques
Round and expand/Belly out areas of your pot
Push the limits and expand your art!
*Participants should have a good handle on throwing basics, such as centering, coning, and pulling up walls. Prior completion of a beginner-level pottery course recommended (from our studio or another).
