Want to incorporate more illustrative and sgraffito designs with your transfers, but worried your drawing skills might hold you back? Want to up your transfer game through coloration and layering? This workshop is for you!

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to apply pre-made underglaze transfers, then combine them with underglaze painting, carving, and sgraffito techniques to create truly one-of-a-kind surface designs—no advanced drawing skills required.

Each participant will receive one leather-hard pottery form (a tall pot or cup OR a medium plate or bowl) to practice on. Choose from a wide selection of different underglaze transfers, underglaze colors, and carving tools to complete your design. Wonderglazes and clear glaze will also be available to create water tight and food-safe finishes.

Each piece will be fired to cone 5, and available for pick up two weeks later.

Participants may opt for a bisque fire first, then return to glaze with Mayco/Amaco/Spectrum potter’s glazes for additional 30% firing & glaze fee.

Leave with fresh new ideas that will elevate your ceramics and new friends!

Shipping available.
