Summer Clay Camps: Sculpture & Hand Building
$265.00

Ages 7-14

$265

Clayhouse’s popular Summer Camps are BACK and funner than ever!

In this muddy 4 day art adventure, campers will first learn how to build a sculpture of their choice, guided by that week’s theme. They’ll use special tools to shape, carve, and manipulate clay, all while learning about how gravity always wants to pull that clay down (and how to overcome it). On day two they’ll glaze their awesome sculpture, then submit it for firing at over 2100 degrees!

On days 3 and 4, campers will learn how to slab, coil, or pinch-build a functional piece of art that’s also inspired by the week’s theme. On day four, we’ll finish up the glazing and off to the kiln it will go!

Camp days also include fun games where campers will be challenged think outside of the box, get creative, and be silly.

We’ll provide a light snack every day, and may include a brief play break at the library park when extra wiggles need to be released. Campers may bring their own snack, or choose from our selection. Please let us know of any allergies or health concerns.
