Whimsical Mini Garden Stacks 6/6 & 6/20 + Punchcard!
June 6th & June 20th, 10AM-1PM + 10 hours of self-guided studio time during June 2026.
___
Add some art to your life while building some great sculpting skills! Come make a 15-20 inch Garden Stack with us!
This popular workshop is back and better than ever! This year, it includes two 3-hour instructional sessions, and one 10-hour punchcard for independent studio time, good for all of June!
Session 1 ~ 6/6/26: You’ll sketch out your unique garden stack and we’ll establish a color and firing plan. Then, you’ll get to work learning slab, coil and pinch techniques to bring your shapes to life. We’ll cover carving, molding, and stamping methods for texture too, all while learning to navigate the studio with ease.
Session 2 ~ 6/20/26: You’ll learn glazing techniques to achieve bright, speckled, bold, or natural surface effects for all of your garden stack pieces. We’ll cover proper application, best practices to avoid kiln disasters, and more!
All materials provided, including clay, glazes, and tools. All your creations will be dried and fired in our studio. The deadline for glaze firing is June 27th.
Worried about finishing your project? Use your punch card for this workshop during all of June to work at your own pace during studio open hours (open late Thursdays)! You’ll find our studio to be welcoming, supportive, and easy to work in.
Garden Stacks are a great introduction to working with clay. If ceramics is something you’ve been wanting to explore more in-depth, we highly recommend this workshop. Students who participate will have the skills to build all types of things! They’ll also be eligible to purchase additional studio punch cards or studio memberships to continue working in ceramics.
