How to mix mason stains safely to get bold or subdued colors
How to blend, inlay, or layer multiple colors of clay to get cool effects
Centering and coning - how to minimize impact or blend more
Important things to consider when planning out how much clay to prepare
A brief discussion on trimming and carving marbled clay and what to expect. (Since this is a one-time workshop, we will not be trimming pieces. Students may come back to trim at the studio for an hourly fee or take pieces home to trim.)
*This workshop includes clay (Whitestone Clay -fires white) and various mason stains to choose from.
