In this workshop you’ll learn how to hand build a beautiful baking dish using a simple folding technique. Seriously, anyone can make this! Add handles and your own unique textures to make this piece the talk of the table!
We’ll use durable stoneware clay, fired at cone 6 to make sturdy baking dishes that make beautiful additions to your kitchen. These also make great gifts!
Projects will be fired and ready for pick up in two weeks if students choose to fire with Stroke & Coat glazes. For a 30% (of project price) fee, students can have their piece bisque fired first, then return to apply potter’s glazes for more drippy and textured glaze effects. An additional 2 weeks will be required for glaze upgrades.
This project is appropriate for ages 10 and up.
