Homeschool Kids! Studio Enrichment Projects
$40 per/participant
10:30AM-12PM
Every other Wednesday, join us for a fun and enriching homeschool-friendly clay building or sculpting project.
Clay can incorporate themes like nature, space, science, history, archeology, engineering, math, and more. It can be functional, strictly aesthetic, or somewhere in between. Working with it appeals to all senses, develops motor skills, and requires focus, persistence, and patience. All of this AND it’s FUN!
We’ll use art to expand our knowledge with a challenging and memorable project that kids can bring home and reflect on for years to come.
Homeschool sessions include:
-Step-by-step instruction through one of a variety of different age-appropriate sculpting and building projects with an experienced instructor.
-Glaze - applied the same day.
-A finished piece (or pieces in some cases) fired to a sturdy cone 5 for durability that will literally last thousands of years (and be dishwasher-safe)!
Additional Details
Projects are ready for pick up 2 weeks after they’re completed.
Our instructors have a background in art and behavior sciences, with years of experience working with children of all ages. Our approach is kind, supportive, and explorative, encouraging kids to consider artistic prompts while embracing their own creativity.
-Hoping to tackle something specific? Request it and, when possible, we’ll try to come up with a project that fits the subject!
-Have a homeschool group that wants to attend together? Contact use for additional dates and times available for larger homeschool groups!
-Ages 6 and up are typically recommended, but we are flexible as every child is different. Participants need to be able to use the studio tools with care, as some are sharp or can break. They should be able to sit or stand through projects that require some focus. Respecting boundaries around peers and their work space is also essential.
Parents are welcome to drop off or can hang out and participate in creating with their own project, if they want. We’ll provide some brief paperwork to sign when you arrive.
