Clay Work Makes the Brain Work (June 3rd, 5-7pm)

This workshop aims to offer an opportunity for individuals to gather in a safe, trusted, and creative environment to explore the benefits of combining clay work with mind and body wellness education.

This 2-hour immersive experience uses emerging evidence-based techniques from neuroscience and psychology to encourage participants to explore their inner consciousness while using clay to create an external expression of what is most important and meaningful in their lives.

What to expect:

  • No experience is necessary. This workshop allows anyone interested in using clay as a medium to learn more about and express their inner selves.

  • Sharing personal stories is voluntary and confidential.

  • The facilitators may invite participants to join in mindfulness and other activities to raise awareness and access to inner thoughts.

  • During the workshop, participants will complete a clay project, including glazing, which will undergo kiln-firing following class completion. Participants can pick up their completed projects in two weeks.
