Join us for a six-session introduction to the potter’s wheel where you’ll learn the basics of “throwing” the essential 3 forms: cups, bowls, and plates!
Also included is a 10 hour punchcard for practice time, used at your leisure during our open studio hours, or scheduled with one of our studio techs during member-only hours.
In this class we’ll cover:
Throwing the 3 key forms that serve as the basis for just about anything you’d want to create on the wheel
“Trimming” AKA refining your pots
The essentials of firing bisque at cone 04 and glaze at cones 5 & 6 (what the heck does that mean? We’ll teach you!)
Simple glazing methods to help your pots shine! Or matte!
No hidden fees! Class includes all clay, firing, and glazing expenses, plus shared shelf space to store works in progress.
Punch cards transition to hourly membership after class ends and are good up to 1 year after your class ends.
