Beginning Wheel Class [Day 4]

20 hours of pottery fun with 2-hour classes, and 10 hours of studio practice time!

Join us for a five-session introduction to the potter’s wheel where you’ll learn all about “throwing” simple cups, bowls, and plates.

Also included are 10 hours of practice time, used at your leisure during our open studio hours or scheduled with one of our studio techs during member-only hours.

In this class we’ll cover:

  • Basic forms, essential to creating long-term masterpieces

  • “Trimming” AKA refining your pots

  • The essentials of firing bisque at cone 04 and glaze at cones 5 & 6 (what the heck does that mean? We’ll teach you!)

  • Simple glazing methods to help your pots shine! Or matte ;-)

No hidden fees! This class includes all clay, firing, and glazing fees, plus shared shelf space to store your works in progress.
